Valius Property Services – Terms of Business

These Terms of Business (“Terms”) set out the basis on which Valius Property Services (“VPS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides property maintenance services to its clients (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our Services
VPS provides residential and commercial property maintenance services across Greater London. Services include, but are not limited to:
Plumbing and heating
Electrical works
General repairs and handyman services
Painting and decorating
Property inspections and compliance checks
Emergency call-outs
All services will be delivered with reasonable care, skill, and in accordance with applicable industry standards.
2. Quotations & Estimates
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Estimates are indicative only and may be subject to change once full details or site inspections have been conducted.
Any changes in scope or materials may lead to revised costs, which will be communicated and agreed with you prior to commencement or continuation of works.
3. Bookings & Access
Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or our online booking system.
You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time.
Missed appointments or failed access attempts may incur a call-out fee.
4. Charges & Payment
Rates are communicated clearly before commencement and may vary depending on the type of service, urgency, and time of day (e.g. out-of-hours).
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For larger jobs, a deposit or staged payments may be required.
VPS accepts payments via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or approved invoicing arrangements for business clients.
5. Cancellations & Delays
You may cancel or reschedule appointments with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge.
Short-notice cancellations may incur a fee to cover lost time and allocated resources.
We aim to complete all work on time but are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g. supplier delays, adverse weather, or client unavailability).
6. Warranties & Liability
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months unless otherwise specified.
Manufacturer warranties apply to any supplied parts or materials.
VPS is insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
VPS shall not be liable for consequential loss, indirect damages, or claims arising from misuse, neglect, or unauthorised alterations after completion of work.
7. Health & Safety
VPS operates in line with all relevant health and safety regulations.
You agree to disclose any known hazards on site and to cooperate with our staff to maintain a safe working environment.
8. Complaints
We aim to resolve all issues promptly and fairly.

9. Privacy & Data
We collect and store your data only for the purpose of providing our services, in line with UK GDPR and data protection law.

10. Governing Law
